Greek like the founder, Sotirio Bulgari - and Roman like the culture he embraced.
The 80’s witnessed the launch of the BVLGARI BVLGARI watch, which fast became a worldwide
success story and is now considered an all-time classic.
The 80's also saw Bulgari Time Neuchâtel established –
which was specifically founded to design all the Bulgari watch lines.
The early 1990's witnessed a diversification in strategy for Bvlgari.
Parfums in Switzerland was established, and marks Bvlgari's
entry in the high-end perfume market.

1997 saw Bvlgari introduce its first collection of silk, comprising ties and scarves, with highly original designs combined with top quality Italian craftsmanship.
1998, saw the launch of the Bvlgari Leather Goods and Bvlgari Sunglasses
and Spectacles collections.
2001 saw the creation of Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts, which was a joint
venture with the Mariott International chain, with the intention of opening exclusive luxury hotels in major cities and resorts all
over the world.
In 2004, the first Bvlgari Hotel was opened in Milan, and the second hotel was opened in 2006 in Bali.
In 2007 in Toyko, Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts opened two restaurants:
Il Ristorante in the Bulgari Ginza Tower (on the top four floors) and Il Cafe'
and Il Cioccolato in Omotesando.
