Designer Bvlgari Sunglasses |
As a leading Italian jewellery and fashion designer, Bvlgari has been setting the pace for over a century. It draws inspiration from Greek and Roman culture, whilst adding a contemporary feel and applies this to its jewellery, watches, designer sunglasses and even hotels. By using precious metals and daring combinations and applying pure designs and unrivalled attention to detail, Bvlgari has created an aura of excellence and in doing so has become "the word" for designer sunglasses and designer jewellery in London, Paris, Rome, New York, Los Angeles and even the Far East. Bvlgari began its international expansion in the 1970's when it opened the first overseas store in New York. This was followed by stores in Europe, including Geneva, Monte Carlo and Paris. The 70's also saw the establishment of their range of designer watches, with the Time Neuchâtel company. The late 1990's were very busy, with the launch of its collection of designer silk ties and scarves, featuring top Italian crafstmanship, combined with original designs. This was followed by the launch of Bvlgari sunglasses and leather goods. Moving on to 2001, and the Italian designer made a bold move in a joint venture with Marriot International by launching Bvlgari Hotels and Resorts. Our extensive range can be found by clicking on the following link Bvlgari Sunglasses. Visit their own website, Bvlgari to see more about their designer frames. |

Designer Chanel Sunglasses |
Chanel sunglasses are a statement of elegance and style. The Parisian company is a leading designer of fashion eyewear and have been designing products of the highest quality for many decades. For a trendy and fashionable look this or any summer, you need look no further than at what Chanel have to offer. Chanel, born in 1883, was raised by aunts in the French province of Auvergne. She adopted the nickname “Coco”, which translates as “little pet”. She was taught needlework by her family, and in 1908 she went on to establish herself as a hat designer. Six years later, in 1914, Chanel opened two boutiques and continued designing simple, smart fashions, which were at odds with the ornate and frilly fashions of that era. Whilst Chanel made her fame through designer clothing, she cemented her fame in 1923 with her most famous perfume, Chanel No.5, the first time a perfume actually bore the name of a designer. Chanel's instinct on breaking the mould and establishing new fashions lives on today, and Chanel sunglasses are a perfect example of this. Go to Chanel Sunglasses to see our full selection. Designer Gucci Sunglasses |
Designer sunglasses is just one facet of the Gucci empire, with the history of the Gucci designer house being traced back to 1906, when Guccio Gucci opened a saddlery shop in Florence. Initially, Guccio crafted designer leather goods. The 1920's saw Guccio selling leather bags to horsemen, and producing designer luggage for customers that had moved from horse drawn to engine powered transportation. In 1938, the designer opened a store on the Via Condotti in Rome. In 1947, Gucci created its iconic designer leather bag with bamboo handle. The familiar red stripe webbing made it's debut for the designer in the early 50's. The 1950's saw Gucci introduce designer ties and shoes. Sadly, the founder died in 1953, but his family have carried on his legacy by expanding the company internationally, with shops in London, Beverley Hills, Paris, Palm Beach and Tokyo. The Gucci designer brand became more famous in the 1960's when Hollywood greats, such as Grace Kelley, Peter Sellers and Audrey Hepburn adorned Gucci apparel and Jackie Onassis was seen and photographed using a Gucci shoulder bag, which quickly became labelled the "Jackie O". It was also during the 60's that "GG" was adopted as the standard logo. The Gucci design house had become chic. Our range of designs is extensive and can be seen here Gucci Sunglasses. Designer Oakley Sunglasses |
As one of the most popular designer brands in the world, the designer team behind Oakley sunglasses are committed to innovation and the creation of unique eyewear. In the pursuit of perfection, they receive inspiration each time an athlete is seen using Oakley designer sunglasses in competition. In 1975, with just $300, Jim Jannard started the Oakley company in his garage. The first product was for motorcross riders and was called 'The Oakley Grip'. The grips sold well, but designer brand recognition was limited because the brand logo was concealed by the riders' hands. Then, in 1980 Jannard launched the O-Frame goggles and with the 'Oakley' logo present on the strap, the brand started to gain recognition. Four years later, the Eyeshade, the first pair of Oakley designer sunglasses, was released. Made of plastic and featuring removable lenses, they became very popular, not least with Tour de France winner Greg LeMond and other professional cyclists. More Oakley designer sunglasses quickly followed suit, including the Blades, Razor Blades, Frogskins, Mumbos and M-Frames. Top athletes recognised that Oakley's designer eyewear, whilst often looking a bit outrageous, were state of the art products and an effective piece of equipment in the pursuit of sporting excellence. You can view our entire designer selection here, Oakley Sunglasses, and you can go to their own website, Oakley, for more details. |

Designer Prada Sunglasses |
These days the name Prada brand is symbolic with the word 'designer', so it is no surprise that we feature Prada sunglasses on our website. The company was founded in 1913 by Mario Prada who began by selling designer handbags, shoes and luggage in Milan. He produced designer luggage made from walrus skin but as this was too heavy for plane travel at the time, he started making lighter bags and experimented with crystal, tortoise shell and even wood. The range was expanded yet further with waterproof clothing but by the 1970's, the designer name was in decline. Then Miuccia Prada took control. Miuccia expanded into nylon backpacks and designer tote bags, but it was the clean lines of her designer footwear and the prêt-a-porter clothing range that brought international fame. She received an International Award for the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 1993 and won the 'Designer of the Year' award in 1995. 0riginally dedicated to women's fashion, the first designer menswear shop was opened in 1998 in Los Angeles, followed by shops in Las Vegas and Manhattan. Prada now have shops in almost every western country and their designer sunglasses and clothing are a must have with nearly every celebrity. Our designer Prada range can be seen here Prada Sunglasses. Visit Prada's website, Prada, for more information on this iconic designer brand. |
